One iPad runs the show; iPhones are cameras and remote mixers.
1. Install Steeple Cast on the iPad, choose Director, and on each iPhone choose Camera (or Remote Mixer). Everything talks over your building's Wi-Fi — put every device on the same network.
2. On a camera phone, enter the 4-digit join code shown on the iPad's Video panel. The feed appears on the switcher within a few seconds.
3. On the iPad's Stream panel, paste your YouTube persistent stream key (YouTube Studio → Go Live → Stream settings). It stays saved — a normal Sunday is: open the app, press Go Live.
Connect a Behringer X32's USB card to the iPad (powered hub + Apple USB adapter) and Steeple Cast builds a separate broadcast mix from the raw channels — the room mix stays untouched. The Audio panel has per-channel faders, auto-EQ by channel type, and a headphone monitor.
The stream is black. Check the Video panel — is a camera on PROGRAM? A camera phone with its screen locked stops sending; keep camera phones plugged in with Guided Access on.
Cameras can't find the director. Same Wi-Fi network? Local Network permission granted on every device (Settings → Privacy)? Then check the join code.
Audio is out of sync. The Audio panel's delay slider aligns board audio to video — nudge in 50 ms steps while watching the monitor.
Director on an iPhone? The director console needs an iPad's screen; phones serve as cameras and remote mixers.
